Another organization Dawa is involved with raised $20,000 and purchased 10,500 kilos of rice, 900 liters of cooking oil, hundreds of portable shelters, water purification kits, and other urgent relief supplies.
Dawa will be using porters to carry the supplies on their backs – the only way to get the supplies up to the people of Basa and other villages around Lukla that are too remote and inaccessible for the large aid organizations to get to.
After this mission, he will be back in Lukla with an engineer to draw up detailed plans and estimates for the Lukla Earthquake Relief project.
Dawa is truly an unstoppable force.
