Today, Nepal was rocked by five aftershocks, including one measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale.
A moderate 5.2-magnitude tremor struck Nepal at 3.44 pm with epicenter at Dhading district.
A 4-magnitude tremor was recorded at 8.30 am with its epicenter located in Gorkha district, according to the National Seismological Centre in Kathmandu.
Two other 4.2 magnitude tremors were recorded at 12.37 am and 5.20 am with epicenters at Dolakha and Dhading districts.
A 4.8-magnitude tremor was recorded at 12.30 pm with epicenter at Gorkha-Dhading.
So far, 290 aftershocks of 4 or above magnitude have been recorded since the April 25 earthquake.
My wife’s relatives report that people in Lukla and Kathmandu are living in perpetual fear due to the continuing aftershocks.
